Rewilding the Riverbank
Nature is in crisis, with many issues striking closer to home than we might think. 45% of British mammals are now deemed at risk, a quarter threatened with extinction. One of our rarest native species, the water vole, was once a riverbank regular but today it’s the UK’s fastest declining mammal.

This film follows an ambitious new project, aiming to bring water voles back from the brink, in a region where the species has been locally extinct for over 30 years. Following this challenging conservation story, we explore the difficulties of saving rare species and Rewilding the Riverbank.
